Kick The Distracted Driving Habit Project Safety

We are pleased to announce that we received a total of 520 distracted driving signatures from 6th grade students at Cavanaugh & Fairview Elementary Schools pledging to not drive distracted.

A pizza party will be set up with the winning class at Fairview (Ms. Phillips) and at Cavanaugh (Ms. Morse). I will be in touch with the Ms. Walter and Mr. Needham to get a good lunch date and time in the classroom. The participants that turned in pledge forms, along with their teachers and principals, will also be recognized at our honor banquet set for April 14th.

Our sincere congratulations to all those that participated and helped to remind the importance of not driving distracted.

This fall, McCutchen & Sexton – The Law Firm will launch an anti-distracted driving campaign, aimed at raising awareness about the serious dangerous of distracted driving, including talking / texting while driving, and encouraging both drivers and passengers to do what they can to end the dangerous practice of driving while distracted. As part of this campaign, McCutchen & Sexton – The Law Firm is encouraging drivers to print out and sign this pledge, stating that the signer pledges to:

  • Protect lives by never texting or talking on the phone while driving
  • Be a good passenger and speak out if the driver in the car is distracted
  • Encourage friends and family to drive phone-free

We urge everyone to print out this pledge, sign it, and encourage their friends and family to do the same, so we can all do our part to keep our roadways safe.
