Wal-Mart sues insurance providers over Tracy Morgan settlement
Posted on Friday, October 30, 2015
Although Wal-Mart has reached a settlement with forty-six year old actor and comedian Tracy Morgan after the 2014 vehicular accident in which an over-tired truck driver collided with Morgan’s vehicle, severely injuring him and killing comedian James McNair, it appears the company isn’t through litigating just yet.
Wal-Mart and its insurance carriers have now filed a lawsuit against each other to determine which of them is responsible for paying out the settlement. Wal-Mart sued several of its insurance carriers, including Liberty Insurance Underwriters Inc., Ohio Casualty Insurance Co., and St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Co., on Sept. 30, 2015 in Benton County Circuit Court.
